Before I started Thousand, I never wore a helmet, despite being a long-time cyclist. However, after losing a friend in a fatal bike crash, I knew I had to make a change. Instead of settling for the futuristic-looking helmets available on the market, I decided to design one myself.

We chose the name "Thousand" for our company with the goal of saving 1000 lives by creating helmets that people actually want to wear. Our name serves as a daily reminder of the purpose behind our work.
